Last week, Wajam was recognized as one of Canada’s Hottest Innovative Companies at the Canadian Innovation Exchange 2012 in Toronto. In addition to being a Top 20 winner, we were selected for a Canadian Technology Accelerator award and invited by the Canadian Consulate in Silicon Valley to participate in their accelerator program.
Check out the pitch by our CEO Martin-Luc Archambault.
“We’re happy to select Wajam as part of our Canadian Technology Accelerator,” says Andrew Keenan, Global Practice Lead Venture Capital/Private Equity, Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. “I believe Wajam has the potential to grow and represent Canada on the global tech stage, and we’re here to support their dream. Silicon Valley offers very quick access to investors, potential clients and technology partners, and the accelerator program gives them unique access to resources to help their business scale.”
The Canadian Innovation Exchange
The Canadian Innovation Exchange was a great way to meet fellow entrepreneurs, investors and potential business partners. Special congratulations go out to our Montreal friends Frank & Oak for winning the people’s choice award!
“We are honored to be associated with the Canadian Innovation Exchange and its elite list of top innovators,” said Martin-Luc Archambault. “CIX globally recognizes how Canada is a growing hotbed for entrepreneurs, investment and technology leadership and promotes many opportunities for entrepreneurs to start tech companies in Canada.”
We are humbled and grateful to have received this recognition. We truly believe that social search brings value to Internet navigation, and we have grand plans in 2013 to continue our quest to seamlessly bring friend recommendations to all places where people search the internet!
